Job summary

Sabenza IT & Recruitment is seeking an experienced .NET Developer to own a modern, cloud-ready software platform supporting a nationally deployed, mission-critical service.

You will work with C#, .NET 6+/8, ASP.NET Core, RESTful APIs, and EF Core against PostgreSQL/SQL Server, in an Agile/Scrum environment with CI/CD pipelines. Onboarding to existing codebases via documentation and handovers is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/IT/SE or related field (portfolio may substitute for degree).
• Proficiency in modern .NET 6+ and .NET 8 is essential.
• 5+ years of commercial C#/.NET development with production systems experience.
• ASP.NET Core and RESTful API design experience.
• Relational DB experience with PostgreSQL or SQL Server; EF Core.
• Git, branching strategies, PRs and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum; onboarding to codebases via docs and handovers.
• AWS experience (EC2/RDS/S3) is advantageous.

We are looking for an experienced .NET Developer to take ownership of a modern, cloud-ready software platform that supports a nationally deployed, mission-critical service .

Requirements

• RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field (strong commercial portfolio may be considered in lieu of a degree)
• Proficiency in modern .NET (version 6 or later, including.NET 8 ) – essential
• 5 or more years of commercial software development experience using C# and the .NET framework, with a track record of delivering and maintaining production systems
• Strong practical experience with ASP.NET Core and RESTful API design (APIs consumed by web, mobile and third-party clients)
• Solid experience with relational databases – PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server – including schema design, query optimization and Entity Framework Core
• Proficiency with Git-based version control (branching strategies, pull requests) and CI/CD pipelines
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum and experienced at onboarding to existing codebases through documentation, code reading and structured handover
• Advantageous: experience with cloud-hosted / cloud-native environments, particularly AWS (EC2, RDS, S3 or equivalent) is advantageous.
• Proficiency with Git-based version control workflows, including branching strategies, pull request reviews, and working within a CI/CD pipeline
• Comfortable working within Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks, and experienced in onboarding to existing codebases through documentation review, code reading, and structured handover processes
