Job summary

Solicited Co Trading as Codematch seeks a NATURAL/ADABAS developer with batch and online processing experience. You will participate in all phases of system development and implementation, writing and maintaining documentation and procedure guides.

You will work with NATURAL programming language, NATURALOne, and EntireX in a Linux environment, developing and maintaining NATURAL/ADABAS-based software solutions and providing user training.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and support of existing NATURAL/ADABAS system.
• Development of new applications throughout the SDLC.

• Maintain code by coding, testing, debugging and documenting features.
• Assist with system integration, enhancements and incident management.
• Provide user training when necessary.
• Document enhancements and modifications.

Strong knowledge of NATURAL programming language.

Must have worked with NATURALOne.

Proficiency in developing software using NATURAL/ADABAS development tools in a Linux

Minimum Qualification and Certification:

Relevant tertiary certification.

A relevant 3-year diploma or degree in the Information Technology space preferred.

ITIL and COBIT certification.

Unendorsed valid drivers license and own vehicle.

Understanding of IT governance essential.

Understanding of relevant industry knowledge - desirable.

Job Outputs:

Maintenance and support of existing NATURAL/ADABAS system.

Development of new applications throughout the entire project lifecycle (SDLC).

Ensure adherence to standards, procedures and methods for the development and

maintenance of the applicable applications.

Working from requirements and specifications unsupervised.

Maintain application software by coding, testing, debugging and documenting application

features and changes.

Participating in activities that ensure the successful use of systems.

Design, develop and implement enhancements.

Assist with support and incident management.

Assist in providing documentation of enhancements and modifications.

Assist with the integration and implementation of systems.

Responsible for developing NATURAL ADABAS-based software solutions to do maintenance andenhancements/changes to existing software applications.
This entails performing effective evaluations of requirements, technical feasibility studies, and analysis ofsystems with a view to designing, building, documenting, and implementing application systems as well asenhancing existing systems.

Provide user training where necessary.

Provide assistance with regards to the identification of procedures, processes and the

information flow required for the maintenance of systems in line with both business

strategies and information requirements.

Execute technical investigations, impact analysis and compilation of technical solutions and

action plans.

Perform standby and maintenance duties as required.

Knowledge and understanding of various IT systems and related configurations as applied

within a specified business environment.
