Qualifications

• National Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Qualified Diesel Mechanic or Millwright with relevant experience is required.
• Minimum 10 years in heavy equipment, port, terminal, container depot or logistics environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support on container handling and heavy equipment.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and CANBUS faults.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective solutions.
• Support commissioning, upgrades, retrofits and equipment optimisation.
• Drive preventive maintenance and reliability initiatives.
• Manage warranty claims and OEM compliance processes.
• Train and mentor field technicians and operational teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and legislative requirements.

This is not your average workshop role. We’re looking for a senior technical powerhouse with deep OEM knowledge, strong troubleshooting capability, and the leadership presence to mentor technicians while keeping critical operations moving.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing advanced technical support on container handling and heavy material handling equipment
• Diagnosing complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and CANBUS system faults
• Leading root cause analysis and implementing long-term corrective solutions
• Supporting commissioning, upgrades, retrofits, and equipment optimisation
• Driving preventive maintenance and reliability improvement initiatives
• Managing warranty claims and OEM compliance processes
• Training and mentoring field technicians and operational teams
• Ensuring full compliance with safety, health, and legislative requirements

Equipment Exposure Required

You must have proven hands‑on experience working with:

• Konecranes Reach Stackers
• Terberg Tractors
• Heavy material handling equipment
• OEM diagnostic tools and software

Minimum Requirements

• National Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering OR
• Qualified Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic / Millwright

Experience Required

• Minimum 10 years’ experience within heavy equipment, port, terminal, container depot, or logistics environments
• Strong expertise in:
  • Diesel engines & emissions systems
  • High‑pressure hydraulic systems
  • Electrical & electronic control systems
  • Technical diagnostics & fault finding
  • Reading schematics and OEM manuals
