Job summary

AFMS Group is seeking a multi-skilled technician to support skilled trades by performing minor maintenance and repair across building fabric, plumbing and electrical first-line tasks.

The role requires hands-on work, logging of maintenance requests, and occasional standby responsibilities. A Code B license and at least two years of built-environment maintenance experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent with basic building maintenance knowledge.
• Min 2 years maintenance experience in built environments.
• Ability to communicate in English and Afrikaans.
• Valid Code B driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor building repairs, maintenance and painting.
• Assist in first line maintenance of plumbing and electrical assets.
• Carry out building fabric repairs and carpentry tasks as needed.
• Maintain toolboxes, inspect facilities and report defects to management.
• Attend to client requests, log calls and provide feedback to FM.
• Standby for repairs outside normal working hours when required.
