Job summary

Vox Telecommunications is seeking an Occupational Health & Safety Officer/Coordinator to support the Group OHS & Facilities Manager in driving compliance, safety culture, and operational excellence across our offices. The role is based in Johannesburg with regional support.

The candidate will assist with audits, documentation, training, and supplier compliance while managing access control and contributing to OHS committee activities. Strong communication and time management are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a Health & Safety environment.
• Grade 12 plus a secondary qualification in OHS (NQF level).
• Strong knowledge of OHS legislation and best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
• Professional, disciplined, and self‑motivated with strong time management.
• Computer literate (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
• Own transport required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly OHS audits, consultant visits, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate health & safety documentation, training, and supplier compliance.
• Manage access control systems, including card issuance and contractor access.
• Support OHS Committee meetings, risk assessments, and tender documentation.
• Provide ad-hoc facilities support for site maintenance and projects.
