Job summary

Famous Brands Limited seeks an OHS practitioner to coordinate and support the OHS Management System across the business, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies. You will conduct site inspections, drive risk mitigation, audits, training, and reporting to promote a safe working environment.

The role covers Midrand sites with some remote support to other locations, requiring strong coaching, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Formal safety qualification (3-year degree/diploma) with SAMTRAC and NOSA training.
• Proven knowledge of OHS legislation (OSH Act 93 of 1993) and COID Act.
• Experience with OHS audits and policy development.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing OHS coaching on the OHS Act to shop-floor staff.
• Ensure compliance with OHS Act 85 of 1993 and COID Act across sites.
• Coordinate internal and NOSA external audits and drive corrective actions.
• Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and training programs.
• Maintain documentation and drive continuous improvement of the OHSMS.
