Job summary

HR Talent Partner SA in Cape Town is seeking a Multimedia Editor to join our client, a prominent national media company, on a full-time permanent basis.

You will create and edit video, motion, 3D, 360 and AI-enabled imagery to client briefs, manage inputs, operate cameras and lighting, and ensure timely delivery of finished assets that meet standards. Strong Adobe Creative Suite, Blender and DaVinci Resolve skills, plus Capture One proficiency, are required.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in photography, multimedia, design or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in multimedia, digital content or imagery production, preferably in a studio or ecommerce environment.
• Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, with working knowledge of Blender, DaVinci Resolve or related production software.
• Advanced knowledge of Capture One, digital RAW processing and grading, including applied styles and custom colour profiles.
• Solid grounding in photography principles, including camera operation, lighting, composition and white balance, with digital operating experience.
• Image finishing skills, including clean-up, colour and tonal correction and deep etching.
• Experience with AI-enabled image or video tools is advantageous.
• Understanding of colour management, file formats, file handling and production tracking.

Responsibilities

• Review briefs, production instructions, style guides and reference material before starting work; confirm required formats and deliverables.
• Create and edit video, motion graphics, 3D, 360, composite and AI-enabled imagery in line with briefs and standards.
• Operate cameras, lighting and capture software for Multimedia shoots using approved setups.
• Deliver work against milestones and due dates, flag risks to deadlines early.
• Self-check work against the brief, checklists and production standards before handover.

Job description

Multimedia Editor position available in Cape Town.

A well-known national Media company is looking for a Multimedia Editor to join their team on a full- time permanent basis for their offices based in Cape Town.

Core Purpose of the Job:

The Multimedia Editor creates and edits Multimedia content, including video, motion, 3D, 360, creative imagery and AI-enabled imagery, to approved client and retailer briefs, production standards and agreed deadlines.

Working under the direction of the Multimedia Lead, the role turns briefs into accurate, finished assets: confirming inputs, capturing where required, editing and finishing content, and preparing complete files for handover to QA. It works closely with Photography, Retouch, QA and Operations to keep production moving and reduce avoidable rework, and supports the testing of new Multimedia and AI-enabled production types before they enter routine use.

Key Performance Areas:

• Brief interpretation and production readiness:
  • Review assigned briefs, production instructions, style guides and reference material before starting work; confirm required formats, dimensions, views and deliverables.
• Content creation and editing:
  • Create and edit video, motion graphics, 3D, 360, composite and AI-enabled imagery in line with approved briefs and production standards.
• Capture and technical production:
  • Operate cameras, lighting and capture software for Multimedia shoots, including video, 360 and reference capture, using approved setups.
• Delivery, file handling and handover:
  • Deliver assigned work against agreed milestones and due dates, and flag risks to deadlines early.
• Quality and continuous improvement:
  • Self-check work against the brief, checklists and production standards before handover.
