Job summary

DO MORE Group is seeking a hands-on Group Financial Manager to own the finance function across five to six operating companies. You will lead a finance team of over eight people, oversee the full monthly finance cycle, and work closely with directors and shareholders on reporting, cash flow, funding and financial decision-making.

The role requires a strong background in management accounting, VAT/payroll, and cross-company financial controls within operational environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting required.
• Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles.
• AGA(SA) or SAIPA designation strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' post-articles commercial experience.
• Experience supervising a finance team.
• Strong month-end reporting and management accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly finance across multiple group companies.
• Mentor and oversee a finance team of ~8 staff.
• Review accounting work for accuracy and integrity.
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts to directors/shareholders.
• Prepare forecasts and provide insights into performance.
• Process final journals, trial balances, and month-end reconciliations.
• Manage intercompany transactions across the group.
• Oversee VAT, PAYE/EMP201 and tax calculations & payments.
• Review payroll and salary payments.
• Prepare audit files and coordinate annual audit.
• Drive cash flow and working capital management.
• Assist with debt facilities and funding requirements.
• Engage with banks and external funders.
• Strengthen financial controls and reporting across the group.
