Indsafri is seeking an experienced MuleSoft/Integration Developer to join our team in South Africa. You will design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver robust integrations.

The role emphasizes API development, security, and performance optimization, with exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and modern CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience as Software/Integration Engineer or API Developer.
• Experience with enterprise integration and API design.
• Hands-on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, Salesforce admins, and architects to gather requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex integrations and optimize performance.
• Develop and maintain APIs following REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and gRPC guidelines.
• Implement and manage API lifecycle including design, build, deployment, security and monitoring.
• Apply integration patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven, batch, pub/sub).
• Ensure security of integrations with OAuth 2.0, JWT, and mTLS.
• Write clean Java code for MuleSoft development as needed.
• Integrate solutions with AWS and Azure.
• Contribute to and leverage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, Salesforce administrators, and architects, to gather requirements and deliver effective integration solutions.
• Troubleshoot and optimize complex integrations, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain APIs following best practices for REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and gRPC.
• Implement and manage the full API lifecycle, from design and build to deployment, security, and monitoring.
• Apply knowledge of various integration patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven, batch, pub/sub) to solve business challenges.
• Ensure the security of integrations by implementing relevant standards such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, and mTLS.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Java code as required for MuleSoft development.
• Integrate solutions with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
• Contribute to and leverage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab CI) for automated deployments.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure integrations are robust, secure, and meet business needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Integration Engineer, or API Developer.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in troubleshooting complex integrations and performance optimization.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Understanding of API design principles (REST, SOAP, GraphQL, gRPC).
• Hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (API Designer, Exchange, Runtime Manager, API Manager).
• Knowledge of integration patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven, batch, pub/sub).
• Familiarity with API security standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS).
• Proficiency in Java.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab CI).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with API lifecycle management tools and methodologies.
