Key Responsibilities of a Mulesoft Developer
- Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 3/4).
- Build APIs following RAML/OAS standards and ensure proper API lifecycle management.
- Develop integration flows using MuleSoft connectors, DataWeave transformations, and APIs.
- Integrate systems and applications across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Collaborate with architects and business teams to interpret requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
- Optimize integration performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement long-term solutions.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and deployment of Mule applications across environments.
- Ensure security, scalability, and reusability of integration assets and APIs.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes using tools like Jenkins, Git, or Azure DevOps.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including integration diagrams, data mappings, and deployment guides.
- Stay up to date with MuleSoft platform updates and integration best practices.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, Mule 3/4 Runtime, and Anypoint Platform.
- Proficiency in RAML / OpenAPI Specification for API design.
- Advanced DataWeave transformation skills.
- Experience integrating with REST, SOAP, JDBC, JMS, SAP, Salesforce, APIs, and other systems.
- Knowledge of API-led connectivity, microservices architecture, and integration patterns.
- Understanding of OAuth, JWT, TLS, and other security protocols.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git repositories, and automated deployments.
- Exposure to Cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP (advantage).
- Experience with API Manager, Runtime Manager, Exchange, and API policies.
