Job summary

Worldwide Positions is seeking a skilled operator to run the MPS410 flexographic narrow web label press in our Sandton facility. The role emphasizes precise setup, colour control, and inline finishing to meet production specifications.

You will read job cards, select inks, substrates and dies, maintain correct viscosity and print pressure, monitor web tension, and work both independently and as part of a team to deliver consistent quality across jobs.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a flexographic narrow web press (preferably MPS 410).
• Ability to read and understand job cards and production specs.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a Mount and register flexo plates accurately.
• Select and install correct aniloxes, print cylinders and die cutting cylinders.
• Set up inks and maintain viscosity and colour.
• Perform accurate colour matching.
• Set and maintain print pressure and registration.
• Set up and monitor web tension.
• Set up and operate inline finishing.

Key responsibilities:

• Set up and operate a Mount and register flexo plates accurately

Minimum requirements:

• Previous experience operating a flexographic narrow web press, ideally MPS 410
• Good attention to detail
• Good knowledge of inks, substrates and printing plates
• Ability to read and understand job cards and production specifications
• Ability to work independently and part of a team
