Job summary

3L Consulting (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Process Technician – Printing in Kempton Park to drive process development, standardisation, and capability building in a high-volume Flexographic printing environment. The role focuses on creating centrelines, supporting setups, and coaching operators to ensure consistent print quality and reduced waste.

The successful candidate will bring strong Flexographic printing experience and prior supervision-level responsibility, working fully on-site under the

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent
• Trade-related qualification in Printing, Graphic Arts, Flexographic Printing or Industrial Printing
• At least three years’ Flexographic printing experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience operating at a supervisor or equivalent level

Responsibilities

• Develop, document and maintain machine operating centrelines for Flexographic printing and converting processes.
• Optimise operating parameters to improve print quality, colour registration and production efficiency.
• Monitor process capability and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and waste reduction.
• Ensure production processes are standardised, controlled and consistently followed.
• Provide technical support across Flexographic printing processes.
• Lead or assist with complex machine setups and changeovers.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring quality and downtime problems.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions and technical standards.
• Train operators and technicians in machine operation, process control and print-quality standards.
