Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Mobile Network Engineer near Upington to design, implement, and optimize 4G/5G networks, ensuring high performance and reliability for users in demanding environments.

You will work with cutting-edge technologies, monitor performance, and collaborate with vendors and teams to roadmap and implement network enhancements for regional coverage and capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in mobile network engineering (4G/LTE, 5G).
• In-depth knowledge of mobile network architecture, protocols, and technologies.
• Experience with network planning, optimization, and performance analysis tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with RF planning and propagation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy mobile network elements (e.g., base stations, core network components).
