Placements24 is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer focused on predictive analytics in Pretoria, Gauteng. You will design, deploy, and monitor ML models for forecasting, handling large datasets and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Statistics, Mathematics, DS or related field.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in ML engineering or data science with predictive modeling.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow/PyTorch).
• Experience with SQL and data extraction/manipulation.
• Familiarity with cloud ML services and MLOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ML models for predictive analytics, forecasting, and anomaly detection.
• Process and transform large datasets for modeling.
• Evaluate models, tune hyperparameters, ensure robustness and scalability.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Deploy ML models in production using MLOps best practices.
• Monitor and retrain deployed models as needed.
• Research and apply new ML techniques to improve predictions.
• Document methodologies and results.
• Contribute to AI strategy and roadmap.
