Job summary

Solugrowth (Pty) Ltd. is seeking a Mining Specialist for a 6-month contract. The role involves drafting scopes of work, technical specifications, BOMs and BOQs for sourced events based on end-user requirements, and running sessions to capture needs.

You will build reusable assets, quality-check drafts, and drive continuous improvement with cross-functional teams. NB: final approval rests with the end user; typical scopes include development contracts, shaft services, rock handling, ground

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the Transport and Logistics Industry.
• Must have relevant Trade Test qualifications (merSETA | Olifantsfon...)

Responsibilities

• Drafting scopes of work, technical specifications, bills of material and bills of quantity for competitively sourced events, working from end-user requirements.
• Running working sessions with end users to understand requirements.
• Building reusable asset base: scope templates by category, a standards guide, and a what-good-looks-like repository for the business after the pilot.
• Quality-checking scopes drafted by others (mainly end-users).
• Bringing scope issues back into the Cross Functional Team so recurring specification problems are fixed at source.
• NB: Approving scopes remains with the end user, who signs.
• Typical scopes: Development and stopping contracts; shaft services; rock handling; ground support and consumables including roofbolts, mesh and blast-on mesh; explosives and initiation systems; trackless mobile machinery
