Job summary

Sibanye-Stillwater is seeking a Mine Supervisor in the Brits area to lead mining teams in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner. The role requires supervising processes to achieve production objectives in line with Minerals Act and company standards.

The successful candidate will coordinate training, ensure adherence to procedures, and monitor performance metrics while maintaining safe working conditions across the mining cycle.

Qualifications

• DMR Blasting Certificate or DMR recognised Mining Operations Level 2 (MQA) and Rock Breaker Level 3 (MQA).
• National Certificate Supervisor Operations (QCTO).
• NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults).
• NQF 6 (Diploma or advance Certificate) in Mining Engineering.
• Mine Overseer Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fair work allocation for team members and inspire team members towards high performance.
• Provide coaching and on-the-job training to reporting staff.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
• Focus on safety and health as well as operational excellence.
• Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan.
• Promoting communication with suppliers and economic resource departments.
• Supporting the logistics process.
• Supporting the training and development of employees.
• Monitor and advise the teams on working methods and scheduling.
• Ensuring team activities support each other in the mining cycle.

Education

DMR Blasting Certificate (post 1 June 2017) or DMR recognised Mining Operations Level 2 (MQA) and Rock Breaker Level 3 (MQA).

National Certificate Supervisor Operations (QCTO).

NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults.
