Job summary

Sibanye-Stillwater in South Africa is seeking a Survey Supervisor to lead the survey team, ensure accurate data, and support mining operations for ore extraction. The role emphasizes safety, quality management, and customer service in a high-demand environment.

Qualifications

• NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent) required.
• Chamber of Mines Advanced Survey and Valuation Certificate required.
• At least 5 years’ experience within the survey department.

Responsibilities

• Providing coaching and on-the-job training to reporting staff.

• Performs Check Survey and assists in Gyro Base Surveys Customer service.
• Performing measurements of excavations for tonnage accounting, representation on plan and contractor payments.
• Providing survey notes including holing warnings where required.
• Representing survey data on survey system.
• Calculating and plotting of peg
• Installing survey lines and grades.
• Constructing mining layouts.
• Survey services.
• To perform higher level development and shaft surveying assignments that that require complex survey knowledge and skill, assist layout construction, and report on all finding in the prescribed formats.
