Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in a purchasing or buying role, preferably in an industrial or mining environment.
• Proven negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Strong understanding of procurement principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach.
• Must be reliable and committed to meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure a wide range of industrial supplies, spare parts, and services.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery reliability.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and manage their lifecycle.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to delivery or quality.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier data, and pricing.
• Collaborate with internal departments, such as engineering and operations, to understand their procurement requirements.
• Assist in managing inventory levels for critical spare parts.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
