Job summary

Fidelity Services Group (Pty) Ltd invites applications for a Mining Investigator at one of our mining sites in Emalahleni. The Investigator will independently conduct investigations across sites, gather evidence legally and prepare reports with suitable support.

The ideal candidate holds an NQF 6/7 degree in Intelligence Studies or policing or related field, has PSIRA Grade A, 5+ years in crime intelligence or state security, and proficient MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification advantageous.
• PSIRA Grade A mandatory.
• 5+ years experience in crime intelligence / state security.
• Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
• Own reliable transport with valid driver’s license.
• Computer literate - MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Good command of English.
• Academic qualifications: NQF Level 6 or 7 Degree in Intelligence Studies/Policing.
• Professional certifications in Intelligence Analysis advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Gather evidence in a legal manner and testify in hearings.
• Liaise with SAPS, prosecutors, legal representatives, and clients.
• Maintain and file all investigation records and docket documentation.
• Ensure investigation reports are accurate and well-supported by evidence.
• Recruit and handle informers; ensure deadlines are met.
• Maintain high quality of work and integrity of reporting.
• Overtime may be required when necessary.
