Zusammenfassung

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager for mining operations in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will lead EMS implementation, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive sustainability initiatives across sites.

The role requires a strong background in environmental legislation, ISO 14001, and stakeholder engagement, with regular on-site presence in Richards Bay to guide teams and optimize practices.

Qualifikationen

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science/Management or related field.
Master's degree is an advantage for seniority.
Experience in mining or heavy industry is preferred.

Aufgaben

Develop, implement and manage EMS per ISO 14001.
Ensure compliance with SA environmental legislation and permits.
Conduct EIAs for new projects and monitor ongoing impacts.
Oversee waste, water, air quality and biodiversity programs.
Deliver environmental training for staff and contractors.
Prepare environmental reports and liaise with regulators.
Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
Promote environmental awareness across Richards Bay operations.
