Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Mine Survey Manager to lead the surveying team in Soweto, providing accurate spatial data for mine planning and operations. You will supervise surface and underground surveys, ensure data integrity, and drive standards and procedures across the unit.

The ideal candidate holds Pr.M.M.S. or equivalent, has 7+ years in mine surveying with at least 3 in management, and is proficient in AutoCAD, Surpac and Deswik.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Mine Surveyor (Pr.M.M.S.) or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 7 years in mine surveying, with at least 3 in a supervisory or management role.
• Proficiency in mine surveying software (AutoCAD, Surpac, Deswik).
• Experience with surveying instruments and technologies.
• Strong understanding of mine spatial planning and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all mine surveying activities, including surface, underground, and infrastructure surveys.

You will be responsible for managing all mine surveying activities, from surface and underground surveys to stockpile volume calculations and ensuring the integrity of all spatial data. The successful candidate will utilize advanced surveying technologies and manage a team to deliver precise and timely survey information critical for mine planning and operations.
