Qualifications

This strategic role involves developing short, medium, and long-term mine plans to optimize resource extraction, maximize economic value, and ensure operational efficiency and safety. You will collaborate closely with geological, survey, and operational teams to translate resource models into practical mining schedules. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner to contribute to the success of a significant mining project and leverage advanced planning software.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated mine plans, including production schedules, pushbacks, and waste stripping plans for open pit operations.
• Utilize mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, Vulcan, Gemcom) to create 3D models, optimize pit designs, and generate drilling and blasting plans.
• Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations of different mining scenarios.
• Collaborate with geologists to interpret resource models and ensure plans align with geological data.
• Work with survey and operations teams to ensure accurate implementation of plans and provide feedback for optimization.
• Monitor mine performance against plan, identifying deviations and developing mitigation strategies.
• Ensure mine plans comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements
