Job summary

Tharisa Minerals is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Earthmoving Equipment at its operation. The role covers diagnosing mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, repairs, and component replacements to keep equipment safe and productive.

You will manage planned maintenance, document job cards, and train apprentices while ensuring safety standards and timely turnaround to minimise downtime.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform repairs on earthmoving equipment to restore optimal function.
• Plan and execute planned maintenance, track kilometres/hours and schedule service windows.
• Inspect equipment, take oil samples and assess results to determine best corrective action.
• Maintain safety standards and housekeeping across the maintenance area.
• Complete job cards and daily reports to inform planning and supervision.
• Upskill apprentices and coordinate with mine stakeholders to meet maintenance requirements.
• Troubleshoot faults and source replacements to minimise downtime.
