Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join their manufacturing facility in Upington . This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of all production machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing breakdowns, and ensuring a safe working environment. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute significantly to the operational efficiency of the Manufacturing & Production department in the Northern Cape region.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on all production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Install and commission new equipment as needed.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Collaborate with production teams to address equipment-related issues effectively.

Requirements

• Technical qualification or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems .
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
