Job summary

Placements24 in Queenstown is seeking candidates for a Millwright Apprenticeship. You will learn to install, maintain and repair industrial machinery under experienced millwrights in a manufacturing environment.

This hands-on program offers mentorship and a clear pathway to a recognized Millwright trade qualification, with an emphasis on safety, problem-solving and teamwork. A Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science is required, plus aptitude for mechanical and electrical tasks.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) with passes in Mathematics and Physical Science.
• Aptitude for both mechanical and electrical tasks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, alignment, and commissioning of new machinery.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in industrial machinery, including pumps, motors, and conveyors.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and operational procedures in the Queenstown plant.
