Placements24 is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our client’s production facility in Queenstown. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose and repair equipment, and implement preventative programs to minimize downtime.

Key responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and ensuring safety. The role offers an hourly wage with potential overtime and opportunities for skill development in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fitting and Turning.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on production equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot problems to restore functionality.
