Job summary

Hulamin is seeking a maintenance technician to maintain and improve the reliability and safe operation of Foil Rolling equipment through electrical, mechanical and instrumentation fault-finding, planned maintenance and continuous improvement.

The role involves attending to breakdowns, performing preventative and condition-based maintenance on Foil Rolling Mills and related equipment, fault-finding PLC-controlled systems, reading drawings, logging work in MAXIMO, and supporting safety and

Responsibilities

• Attend to electrical, mechanical and instrumentation breakdowns and restore equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform planned, preventative and condition-based maintenance on Foil Rolling Mills, Foil Separators, annealing furnaces, ball mills, oil reclamation plants and overhead gantry cranes.
• Fault-find and repair PLC-controlled equipment, variable speed drives, motors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems and basic instrumentation.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals.
• Complete machine inspections, maintenance checklists, work orders and equipment history records using MAXIMO or a similar computerised maintenance management system.
• Participate in equipment reliability reviews, root cause analysis and multidisciplinary problem-solving forums.
• Support shutdown planning and execution, including the identification of work, spares, tools and resources required.
• Apply safe isolation, lock-out and permit-to-work requirements and comply with safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Provide shift leadership when required and work collaboratively with Operations, Process and Maintenance teams.
• Identify and implement cost-effective improvements that enhance safety, equipment reliability, quality and productivity.
