About the Internship Programme

The internship provides graduates with practical experience in energy efficiency, demand-side management, energy auditing, data analysis and municipal energy projects. Successful interns will assist with energy assessments, technical reporting and the implementation of energy-saving interventions within the municipality.

Minimum Requirements

• Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree at NQF Level 7 or Diploma at NQF Level 6 in one of the following fields: Electrical Engineering Built Environment Natural Sciences Economic Sciences Related field
• Applicants must also:
• Be unemployed graduates.
• Have no previous full-time employment experience in the sector.
• Reside within Midvaal Local Municipality.
• Have good analytical skills.
• Have good report-writing skills.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Have good communication skills.
• A valid driver’s licence will be advantageous but is not compulsory.

Advantageous Training

Salary and Benefits

Successful interns will receive: R8 333.33 per month

This is an all-inclusive package for the six-month contract.

No additional benefits or allowances will be payable.
