Job summary

Apex Group in Cape Town is seeking a Middle Office professional to manage workflows from Fund Managers and Prime Brokers, produce NAVs and run daily P&L reporting. You’ll handle mandate compliance reporting and corporate actions loading, perform reconciliations between Middle Office and Prime Brokers, and ensure accurate trade booking.

Expect analytical tasks and process improvement work in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s qualification in accounting, finance or investment.
• Quantitative degree with accounting major.
• Knowledge of NAV calculation and reconciliation beneficial.
• Comfortable with large Excel datasets; macros and automation beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Managing workflow from Fund Managers and Prime Brokers.
• Production of soft portfolio NAVs.
• Daily Profit & Loss reporting.
• Mandate compliance reporting and loading of corporate actions.
• Daily recons of discrepancies between Middle Office and Prime Brokers reporting.
• Accurate and timely booking of trades into Middle Office system.
• Involvement in ad hoc projects to improve process efficiencies.
