Job summary

SavageOne Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Mid-weight DTP Operator to join our team in Cape Town and Durban. You will prepare layouts and artwork for print and digital production, ensuring accuracy and consistency with brand guidelines.

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years of DTP experience, strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and a portfolio demonstrating pre-press and artwork preparation. The role involves collaboration with designers and production teams to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of proven experience as a DTP Operator in an agency, publishing, or corporate environment
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
• Strong understanding of print production processes
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong time management and communication skills
• A portfolio showcasing DTP or artwork preparation work is required

Responsibilities

• Prepare, format, and finalise artwork across various media (print & digital)
• Ensure all work meets technical production specifications
• Perform layout corrections, versioning, and updates to existing files
• Maintain consistency in layout, typography, and colour accuracy
• Work collaboratively with designers, traffic managers, and production teams
• Manage workflow efficiently to meet tight deadlines and multiple deliverables
• Pre-flight files and prepare print-ready documents
• Quality-check final artwork before handoff to printers or clients
