Job Description

dhk Interior Design is a vibrant and dynamic team of interior designers who are breaking the mould of what makes great design. We don’t believe in designing for trends. Rather, we believe in creating interior spaces that work hard for our clients, using colour, texture, form and materials to express who they are. We design for leading blue‑chip and boutique clients in the hospitality, multi‑residential, commercial, retail and education sectors.

The role

We’re looking for a senior designer who has experience of delivering interior design projects from concept development through to implementation and construction management. You’ll need to be detail‑oriented with a strong track record as a skilled all‑rounder. Working with us, you’ll hone your project management skills and demonstrate your excellent communication skills. You’ll need to be adept at presenting clear ideas both internally and externally. You must also have a sound understanding of technical and commercial feasibility.

Roles and responsibilities

• Taking ownership of and responsibility for projects from inception to handover
• Assess the client's project requirements
• Develop clear and accurate briefs that fully express the client’s needs
• Develop innovative design concepts
• Present concepts and proposals to the client and colleagues
• Expand and develop designs to align with the client’s brief, budget and regulations
• Generate technical and construction documentation packages
• Liaise with suppliers, site coordinators and project managers
• Facilitate project handovers
• Support the growth and development of the business

Essential qualifications and credentials
