Qualifications

• Degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mineral processing with hands-on flotation and leaching.
• Strong understanding of metallurgical principles, chemical reactions and physical separation processes.
• Proficiency in process monitoring, control systems and data analysis.
• Experience with metallurgical accounting and reporting.
• Good problem-solving skills and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control metallurgical processes to ensure optimal performance and mineral recovery rates.
• Conduct laboratory test work and pilot plant trials to evaluate new processes or improve existing ones.
• Analyze process data and troubleshoot operational problems to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce costs and enhance product quality.
• Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations within the processing plant.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure plant reliability and efficiency.
