Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires Merchandisers for their Blue Route store in the Western Cape Region. You will ensure basic Dis-Chem merchandising standards are executed and maintained, while delivering excellent customer service to shoppers.

Responsibilities include restocking, stock control, shelf presentation, FIFO stock rotation, and aiding in stocktaking. You will engage customers professionally and uphold Dis-Chem policies and safety standards on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric is required with up to 6 months retail experience.
• Computer literate with MS Office proficiency.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.

Responsibilities

• Restock merchandise to ensure maximum sales.
• Ensure stock from storeroom is stored and packed correctly and promptly.
• Maintain stock on shelves with no sell-by date breaches.
• Keep full product range on shelves at all times.
• Rotate stock on FIFO basis and report low or expired stock to management.
• Assist with stock counting and general stocktaking.
• Adhere to Dis-Chem operating standards, store layout and planograms.
• Ensure shelves are neat with correct labels and pricing; report price discrepancies.
