Placements24 invites applications for a Junior Electrical Engineer internship in Soweto, Gauteng. You will join the Power & Distribution team to gain hands-on experience in electrical power systems design, analysis, and implementation while learning from senior engineers.

You will assist with project tasks, conduct technical research, and contribute to developing electrical infrastructure in a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, recently completed or in final year.
• Basic understanding of electrical power systems including generation, transmission and distribution.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in design and development of electrical power distribution systems.
• Prepare electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Perform basic electrical calculations and analyses under supervision.
• Participate in site visits to observe power system installations and operations.
• Research and gather technical data for project requirements.
• Assist with testing and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot minor electrical issues and document findings.
• Learn and apply company standards and procedures for electrical engineering.
• Collaborate with team members on tasks and projects.
