Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Strong academic record with understanding of electrical power systems.
• Eagerness to learn and develop skills in power distribution engineering.
• Basic knowledge of electrical design principles and standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CAD experience is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Legally eligible to work in South Africa and able to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in the design and planning of power distribution networks, including substations and feeder lines.
• Conduct site inspections to assess infrastructure condition and identify issues.
• Support troubleshooting of power outages and electrical faults.
• Perform data analysis related to network performance and energy consumption.
• Prepare technical reports and drawings under supervision.
• Participate in safety reviews and adhere to safety regulations.
• Learn and apply electrical codes and standards in daily tasks.
• Assist in procurement of electrical equipment and materials.
• Gain practical experience with SCADA systems and other utility technologies.
