Placements24 is recruiting a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our client in Rustenburg. This field-based role requires building relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals, communicating scientific data clearly, and advancing medical knowledge to improve patient care.

You will travel extensively within your territory, support clinical trial activities, and collaborate with medical affairs, marketing, sales, and R&D to shape medical strategy and educational

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly knowledgeable and engaging Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join their team in Rustenburg . In this critical, field-based role, you will serve as a scientific expert, building relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals within your territory. You will be responsible for communicating complex scientific and clinical information about our client's innovative pharmaceutical products, fostering a deep understanding and facilitating appropriate use. This position requires extensive travel and a strong commitment to advancing medical knowledge and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong, peer-to-peer relationships with key thought leaders and healthcare providers in assigned therapeutic areas.
• Present complex scientific and clinical data on our client's products in a clear, accurate, and unbiased manner.
• Gather insights from KOLs and the field regarding clinical practice, unmet medical needs, and research trends.
• Support clinical trial activities, including investigator identification and site support, as directed.
• Contribute to the development of medical strategy and educational initiatives within the medical affairs team.
• Serve as a scientific resource for internal teams, including marketing, sales, and R&D.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in medical affairs, clinical research, or pharmaceutical industry roles.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage scientific and clinical experts.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas and the pharmaceutical landscape.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory and occasionally to national/international meetings.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance guidelines applicable to pharmaceutical interactions.
