Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in media relations, PR, or journalism.
• Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with media professionals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with storytelling and pitching abilities.
• Familiarity with media monitoring tools and techniques.

About the Role

This role is essential for building and maintaining strong relationships with the media, securing positive press coverage, and effectively communicating our client's message. The Media Relations Officer will play a key part in managing day-to-day media interactions and supporting broader PR strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement media relations strategies to enhance brand visibility and positive perception.
• Build and maintain a strong network of contacts with journalists, bloggers, and media influencers in the Northern Cape region and nationally.

• Respond to media inquiries promptly and efficiently, coordinating interviews and providing information.
