Job summary

Kenvue in Johannesburg seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) to support plant equipment and ensure reliable operation onsite. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot faults, install and changeover machinery, and document activities with accuracy.

The role requires strong hands-on skills, at least 10 years of maintenance experience, and the ability to work overtime when needed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 10 years maintenance support experience.
• Understanding of solids and manufacturing equipment maintenance.
• 5 years Tablet tooling maintenance experience.
• Fault finding experience; strong attention to detail.
• Punctual and willing to work occasional overtime; understands measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintains manufacturing equipment which may include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.
• Assists with the installation, setups and changeovers of machinery.
• Tests and makes adjustments as needed.
• Makes routine repairs to malfunctioning equipment.
• Assists in the Implementation of process improvements.
• Updates required documentation including maintenance and repair logs.
• Assists with trouble report preparation for malfunctioning equipment.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Applies safety procedures to all work.
• Orders parts and supplies occasionally in accordance with department procedures.

What you will do
