Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA).
• Experience with materials testing and mechanical characterization.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with Stellenbosch exposure.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative mechanical systems and components using advanced materials.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
• Conduct stress, thermal, and fatigue simulations to validate designs.
• Build and test prototypes, iterating designs from results and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with materials scientists to apply material properties to designs.
