Job summary

Primeserv Denverdraft is seeking an experienced Senior Design Draughtsman in Midrand, South Africa, to create precise 3D parametric models and develop GA and detail drawings for manufacturing. You will work closely with Design Engineers and report progress to the Drawing Office Manager, ensuring ISO 9001 quality in all outputs.

The role requires extensive experience in mechanical drafting, manufacturing, and fabrication, with proficiency in Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault to deliver accurate, neat

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ active working experience as a Senior Design Draughtsman.
• 8+ years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years’ experience in Manufacturing and Fabrication.
• Diploma in Mechanical Draughting.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D parametric models from skeletons using Autodesk Inventor.
• Generate General Arrangement (G.A) and Detail drawings for Manufacturing.
• Produce manufacturing drawings.
• Communicate with the Design Engineers.
• Give feedback on drawing progress to the Drawing Office Manager.
• Uphold ISO 9001 quality when producing drawings.

You will be mainly responsible for:

• Creating 3D parametric models from created skeletons using Autodesk Inventor Software.


• Generating General Arrangement (G.A) and Detail drawings for Manufacturing.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Senior Design Draughtsman:

• Produce manufacturing drawings.


• Communicate with the Design Engineers.


• Give feedback on drawing progress to the Drawing Office Manager.


• Create 3D parametric models using SKELETON MODELING.


• To produce the most accurate, correct and neat drawings.


• Upholding the ISO 9001 Quality when producing drawings.

Minimum requirements:

• Minimum 8 years’ active working experience as a Senior Design Draughtsman.


• Minimum 8 years’ active working experience in Mechanical Engineering.


• Minimum 8 years’ experience in Manufacturing and Fabrication


• Diploma in Mechanical Draughting


• Technical competence using the following Autodesk Software:


• Inventor - 3D Skeleton modelling


• AutoCAD


• Vault


• High attention to detail


• Experience in the Mining Industry will be an added advantage.
