Job summary

WSP in Cape Town is seeking a Mechanical Design/BIM Technician to lead BIM modelling and coordination for building services. The role requires strong Revit skills, multi-disciplinary coordination and a proactive approach to improving workflows.

You will work under the guidance of engineers, ensuring accuracy, quality and alignment with project standards while delivering defined design packages within scope and schedule.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in mechanical building services design and BIM modelling.
• Qualified with B.Tech Eng. (Mechanical) or a National Diploma (NQF 6) or equivalent.
• Proficient in Revit and BIM coordination across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM modelling, drafting and coordination for building services.
• Interpret criteria from engineers and translate into constructible BIM models.
• Develop and implement BIM standards, execution plans and project deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, and technicians to resolve clashes.
