Job summary

Shoprite Group of Companies seeks a Meat Market Manager to oversee daily operations at the assigned Meat Market Branch. You will drive profitability, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold food safety and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities include stock control, merchandising, and people management. You will lead a team, optimise processes, and ensure targets are met while maintaining high-quality meat products for customers.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) is required.
• Experience in meat industry and retail.
• Experience in meat cutting, merchandising, stock management and food safety standards.
• Supervisory or management experience.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and operational systems).
• Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Meat Market operations to ensure profitability and efficient service.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction at all times.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in line with regulations.
• Manage stock levels, rotation and merchandising to maximise sales.
• Lead, coach and develop the Meat Market team to meet targets.
