Job summary

Curro Holdings Ltd invites applications for a Mathematics Teacher (Intermediate Phase) at Curro Salt Rock in Ballito. The position is full-time and commences duties in January 2027.

The teacher will deliver mathematics education in the intermediate phase following Curro curricula and participate in assessment and reporting processes. The role requires a BEd and/or PGCE in the intermediate phase, at least 2 years of teaching experience, and knowledge of the IEB curriculum.

Qualifications

• BEd and/or PGCE in intermediate phase teaching.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an intermediate phase teacher.

• Proven facilitation, problem-solving and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach mathematics in the intermediate phase and plan lessons using Curro curriculum guidelines.
• Review and adjust term plans; create customised plans to support class pace and lessons.
• Manage the classroom and communicate with learners and parents.
• Set up and manage assessments (formal and continuous) including roster, revision packs and moderation.
• Plan and manage homework per subject, including revisions and peer marking.
• Plan and manage extramural activities and outings.

Curro is seeking to appoint a primary school intermediate phase teacher at Curro Salt Rock in Ballito. The role involves teaching and coordinating a range of subjects as per the Curro curriculum for the intermediate phase. The teacher is responsible for the active teaching, knowledge transfer, skills development and growth of positive attitudes among learners through integrated and focused teaching approaches.
