We are recruiting an experienced Mathematics Teacher on behalf of a well-funded, government-backed school in Abu Dhabi that is building an international teaching faculty. The role
You will teach Mathematics across Grades 5 to 12, delivering engaging, inquiry-led lessons that develop genuine mathematical thinking. The school's senior grades follow an international pathway to Cambridge IGCSE, with first examinations in June 2027. You will work within a department that expects rigour, collaboration and creativity.
- Plan and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons, from arithmetic and algebra through to geometry, statistics and calculus.
- Design and administer assessments, provide timely feedback and adapt instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- Incorporate real-world applications and problem-solving that make mathematics relevant and memorable.
- Collaborate with the Head of Mathematics and fellow teachers to share best practice and contribute to departmental goals.
- Foster a classroom culture of active participation, critical thinking and confidence.
- Maintain regular communication with parents on student progress and engage fully in the school community.
What you must bring
- Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or a closely related field — minimum 2:1 (a 2:2 is considered where a postgraduate qualification has been achieved).
- Professional teaching qualification — BEd or subject degree plus PGCE.
- Current SACE registration.
- Minimum 3 years of classroom experience teaching Mathematics.
- Native or highly fluent English — the medium of instruction is English and verbal communication clarity is essential.
- Passion for the subject and genuine care for student outcomes.
Advantageous
- Experience teaching a British curriculum, IB or other recognised international curriculum (Cambridge, IEB). Other international curricula considered.
- IGCSE or A-Level teaching experience.
- Prior experience working in the UAE, GCC or another international school environment.
- Familiarity with educational technology and digital tools for teaching.
