ADvTECH is seeking a dedicated Mathematics and Natural Sciences Teacher for the Intersen phase (Grades 4–6). Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field with math/natural sciences focus.
• Experience teaching Mathematics and Natural Sciences in the Intersen phase.
• Strong understanding of South Africa's curriculum frameworks and standards.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Mathematics and Natural Sciences Teacher for the Intersen phase. In this role, you will focus on delivering high-quality education, fostering critical thinking, and promoting a deep understanding of mathematical and scientific concepts among learners in Grades 4 to 6. You will create an engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and curiosity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement differentiated lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
• Create a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration and inquiry in mathematics and natural sciences.
• Foster collaborative learning by promoting group activities and discussions.
• Integrate technology and resources into lesson delivery to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching practices and subject knowledge.
• Collaborate with colleagues in planning and developing curriculum that aligns with educational standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience in teaching mathematics and natural sciences at the Intersen phase.
• Strong understanding of curriculum frameworks and educational standards in South Africa.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Proven track record in creating engaging and innovative lesson plans.
• Ability to assess and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
• Knowledge of educational technology tools and resources for the classroom.

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification or specialization in Mathematics or Natural Sciences.
• Experience in working with diverse classrooms, including students with special educational needs.
• Familiarity with inquiry-based learning and assessment methodologies.
• Membership in a relevant professional teaching association.
