Job summary

ADvTECH is seeking a dedicated Mathematics and Natural Sciences Teacher for the Intersen phase (Grades 4–6). You will deliver high-quality education, foster critical thinking, and promote deep understanding of mathematical and scientific concepts, while creating an engaging learning environment that encourages participation and curiosity.

The role emphasizes differentiated instruction, ongoing assessment, collaboration with colleagues, and integration of technology to support learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field with math/natural sciences focus.
• Experience teaching Mathematics and Natural Sciences in the Intersen phase.
• Strong understanding of South Africa's curriculum frameworks and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents and colleagues.
• Proven ability to create engaging and innovative lesson plans.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement differentiated lesson plans for Grades 4–6.
• Assess and monitor student progress with timely feedback.
• Create a positive, inquiry-based classroom environment.
• Foster collaborative learning with group activities and discussions.
• Integrate technology to enhance engagement and outcomes.
• Communicate regularly with parents about progress and activities.
• Engage in professional development and curriculum planning with colleagues.
