Job summary

Rosebank College, part of The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE), seeks lecturers to teach modules in Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science. You will track progress, engage students, manage assessments and provide support to at-risk students.

Classes run 08h00–17h00, Monday to Friday, with hours allocated per module. A Bachelor with honours or MSc in related fields is preferred; transcripts are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Honours or Masters in Mathematics/Statistics/Data Science as ideal.
• Lecturing/tutoring experience of 2+ years with analytics component.
• 1+ year work experience as data analyst/scientist or higher NQF level.
• Copy of academic transcript required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and engage students based on module requirements.
• Manage resources and consult with the Information Centre.
• Update learning management system and provide feedback to students.
• Prepare students for assessments and develop assessments with Central Academic Team.
• Monitor student engagement and assessment submissions with escalation when needed.
• Attend and participate in academic meetings across faculties.
• Reflect on, review and analyse student module results.
• Support monitoring of at-risk students in assigned modules.
• Complete required academic professional development interventions annually.
