  • Experience in FMCG or beverage manufacturing.
  • SAP and Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience.
  • Experience leading forklift operators and warehouse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily warehouse operations across inbound and outbound activities.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and monitor stock ageing.
  • Support production with timely pallet receipt, scanning and traceability.
  • Coordinate picking, loading and dispatch to ensure on-time customer orders.

withinManufacturing, Supply Chain. This position reports to theTeam Leader Warehouse.

Job Purpose

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and controlling daily warehouse operations to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient receipt, storage, inventory management, and dispatch of finished goods. The role supports team leaders by ensuring stock accuracy, compliance with warehouse procedures, and optimal resource utilization while driving safety, quality, service, and cost performance.

Key Performance Indicators but not limited to include:

Operational Coordination

  • Coordinate daily warehouse operations across inbound, and outbound activities.
  • Ensure production receipts are processed accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate put-away activities according to warehouse layout and storage strategies.
  • Monitor warehouse performance throughout the shift.
  • Support shift planning and resource allocation.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain inventory accuracy within SAP/WMS.
  • Coordinate cycle counts and stock takes.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor blocked, quarantine and damaged stock.
  • Ensure FEFO/FIFO principles are adhered to.
  • Monitor stock ageing and report risks.

Production Support

  • Liaise with Production regarding daily output.
  • Ensure pallets are received and scanned correctly.
  • Monitor pallet identification and traceability.
  • Ensure timely warehouse acceptance of production.

Dispatch Coordination

  • Coordinate picking and loading activities.
  • Ensure customer orders are dispatched on time.
  • Monitor truck turnaround times.
  • Ensure loading documentation is complete and accurate.

Team Coordination

  • Allocate daily work to forklift operators and warehouse assistants.
  • Monitor employee productivity.
  • Coach team members on warehouse procedures.
  • Assist with performance management.

Safety, Quality and Compliance

  • Conduct workplace inspections.
  • Report and investigate incidents.
  • Monitor equipment inspections.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Reduce waste and non-value-added activities.
  • Support cost-saving project s.
  • Diploma or Higher Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehousing, Operations Management or related field.
  • 1–3 years warehouse experience.
