Job summary

Tailormade Solution in Randburg, South Africa, seeks a Material Technician with 5 years' sand testing and QC experience to join a civil engineering client.

You will perform laboratory sand tests, assist with soil sampling and fieldwork, and support QC activities under supervision. Candidates must have Grade 12, English fluency, good communication, and computer skills.

Job description

A client of ours within the Civil Engineering sector is looking for a Material Technician with 5 years' experience in sand testing ability. The suitable candidate must have knowledge of sand testing and quality control (QC).

Job Responsibilities

• Laboratory Testing - Must be Competent and qualified to execute sand tests in the laboratory

• Soil Sampling & Fieldwork

• Administration experience will be Advantageous

• Control laboratory activities such as quality control under supervision

• Physically able and willing to work with, move and pick up samples as and when required,

Qualification and Experience

• Education : Grade 12

• Experience in a SANAS accredited lab - advantageous

• 5 Years working experience

• Language: Proficiency in English (Read, write, speak)

• Good Communication Skills

• Computer literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook

• Must be competent and comfortable with latest test methods

• Physically able and willing to work with, move and pick up samples as and when required

• Must have a code 08/10 Drivers Licence

• Must reside in and around Randburg

• Must be criminally clear
