Job summary

ZealHR seeks a Master Data Controller in Gauteng to own data accuracy across supplier, customer and third-party records. You will compile, verify and maintain data before ERP entry.

In a fast-paced Shared Services environment, you will audit data, resolve discrepancies, support audits and drive data clean-ups and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Matric with Mathematics and Accounting required.
• Experience in risk, compliance or data environments preferred.
• Advanced Excel and data accuracy emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Capturing and maintaining accurate and validated master data.
• Conducting regular audits to identify discrepancies, duplicates and outdated information.
• Maintaining clear audit trails of master data changes.
• Reviewing exception reports and identifying anomalies.
• Developing and implementing corrective data clean-up plans.
• Resolving master data queries within agreed turnaround times.
• Verifying information through Standard Bank, TransUnion and SARS.
• Ensuring master data processes comply with internal controls and statutory requirements.
• Contributing to updates of Master Data Manuals as legislation and banking security protocols change.

Master Data Controller

What will your day look like?

You will be responsible for compiling, verifying, analysing and maintaining master data before information is captured into the ERP system.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Capturing and maintaining accurate and validated master data
• Conducting regular audits to identify discrepancies, duplicates and outdated information
• Maintaining clear audit trails of master data changes
• Reviewing exception reports and identifying anomalies
• Developing and implementing corrective data clean-up plans
• Resolving master data queries within agreed turnaround times

• Ensuring master data processes comply with internal controls, delegation of authority and statutory requirements
• Contributing to updates of Master Data Manuals as legislation, SARS requirements and banking security protocols change

What do you need to bring?

We are looking for an experienced, highly accurate individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Matric with Mathematics and Accounting
• A minimum of 10 years' working experience within a risk, compliance or data environment
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Good Microsoft Office proficiency and JDE and/or Syspro experience would be advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with e xceptional attention to detail
• The ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
• High levels of integrity and discretion when dealing with confidential information
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• A professional, service-orientated approach when dealing with stakeholders
